Automotive Electric Power Supply Systems Conference 2024

Explore Innovations in High-Voltage Power Supply Including 400V & 800V And Reinvestigate 48V Architecture in Future Vehicles

October 22-24, 2024 - Munich, Germany

Over the past decade, the electric power supply event has been at the forefront of exploring innovations in 48V technology. Just when the automotive industry thought the 48V story was over and western OEMs agreed that it didn't make sense to have 48-volts on a battery electric vehicle due to too much legacy conversion, Tesla released its Cybertruck with 48V architecture and 12V modules. Tesla plans to produce all future vehicles with low-voltage power supply raised burning questions among the industry; 'What will Tesla's decision mean for the future of 48V? 'What will be the room for 48V in an electric vehicle?' 'Will the wider industry need to benchmark again, and can we make a business case for 48V?'

While there are corner cases on 48V architecture, the majority of the automotive industry's focus and interest has shifted to high-voltage power supply architecture, 400V, 800V and higher. 800V-electrical systems are allowing new electric vehicles to charge faster than ever before, however OEMs are now faced with challenges they have not previously experienced, including new safety considerations for 800V, HV to LV conversion and optimising energy consumption while minimising losses.

Recognising recent developments the recent developments in the electric power supply systems space, we are proud to announce the return of the Automotive Electric Power Supply Systems conference, taking place on the 22nd - 24th October in Munich, Germany. The event will address current industry drivers including cost, innovation, and efficiency, and serve as a meeting ground plus marketplace for OEM, Tier-1 and Tier-2 companies to discuss current challenges, devise solutions and showcase technical capabilities.
