Connected vehicles as a segment of the automotive market is just getting started. The true potential of connected car data and connected services is yet to be fully realised, not only by the end customer, but also by the vehicle manufacturer. Connected vehicle data is presenting OEMs with the invaluable opportunity to elevate the customer experience, offer new services and improve vehicle design and performance.
However, vehicle manufacturers are facing numerous challenges and raising key questions to enable large-scale deployment and make connected vehicles a reality, including:
Where do OEMs see vehicle connectivity challenges and where do they see opportunities for themselves & for their customers?
How have OEMs built a business models and businesses around the idea of connected vehicles?
How can OEMs use data to improve product specifications, vehicle design and test innovative ideas?
What are the practical applications and how is real value being created?
Where does Europe stand in terms of standardisation, mandating technology development and R&D?
How can the industry protect connected vehicles from threat and risk of cyber-attacks?
Our flagship Connected Vehicles event returned to Munich in November 2023, in a 4-day format like never before, recognising the overlap with the whole area of cyber security and SDVs, co-located with the Automotive Cyber Security and Software-Defined Vehicles Europe events.
Looking beyond the theory of connected vehicles, the Connected Vehicles Europe 2023 event focused on practical case studies, actual use cases and implementation of connected vehicle data and 5G technology to create real value, while taking a deep-dive into areas relating to Cyber Security, GDPR Compliance, Europe’s position on Standardisation, Mandating Technology Development and R&D among other timely topics.
Interesting topics presented in a very good way. Good choice of speakers and panellists. It was very valuable. Good for networking, good for seeing the current state of different... activities in Europe. The participation was of great value. The speaker line-up was strong and the discussion culture was amazing.
Good topics, well presented and really insightful. Really good networking and insights, especially in the discussions outside the official presentations. Really good opportunity to meet my peers in the industry and see what good looks like for them. Excellent chance to see what some of the suppliers are up to, in terms of new tech.
Very good for networking. Very nice to see high participation of OEMs. Nice event where we could meet the major actors in the field. Content was clear and interesting.
